M3: Understanding Feedback
These are the five pieces of feedback that the client discussed.
- Good research and rationales shown within the pitch
From this piece of feedback, I understand the importance of research online and having research to support my decisions. The client said more than once how impressed he was with the research I had undertaken.
- Font choices = Title font was good, but does it fit with the genre of the entire Jazz magazine. Does it link too much to only live Jazz?
From this piece of feedback I understand that I need to look at an array of fonts and maybe produce a digital copy to decide if the fonts I want to choose compliment each other. I will look at different fonts and decide this further.
- Colour choices = Why did I pick those colours, are they vibrant enough?
I understand from this that colour palettes are very important and I will along with the fonts, create a digital copy to decide if the colour palette works well. I am confident in the colours that I have chosen, but need to see if they work well with each other and suit the genre.
- Online marketing = Is the digital focus on marketing your USP? How is this going to work in a digital space?
It is my USP and I understand that I need to make my USP clear to my readers. Is it important to make a USP clear so that consumers feel thy are getting value for money, especially as the magazine will be fortnightly and cost £4.
- Physical digital version would have been good to see
In future, when presenting to a client I understand that I need to produce physical prototypes so they are able to see the design clearly.
